Can you believe this for breathtaking hypocrisy?
The Mail, the Telegraph and the Sun have all been banging on and bloody on about how awful the European Convention on Human Rights is right?
For example, the Mail said it was a”great day for British justice” when home secretary Theresa May vowed to take the UK out of the European Court of Human Rights, calling it a ‘discredited’ and ‘ludicrous’ convention which allowed “foreign courts to meddle in British justice”.
So on what legal grounds are the same newspaper groups basing their refusal to comply with the new press regulations agreed in parliament today?
That’s right – they’re saying they’re going to boycott the regulations because they’re contrary to article 10 of …… wait for it …… the European Convention of Human Rights!
Maybe Murdoch, Rothermere and co are so arrogant they believe human rights only apply to…

According to many social media contributors, we can conveniently call upon karma to fix almost any nefarious act we choose. Your girlfriend cheated on you? That’s okay, karma will get her. Your boss demoted you? No worries, karma will step in and save the day. Karma has now become a catchall phrase that evokes the desire for retribution and revenge for anything from divorce to financial hardship to car accidents.
But what most people don’t see is their own role in the karmic process. They don’t understand that they are as much responsible for those acts as the person who committed them. Knowing this, karma really can be a bitch as well as a good friend.
