This week I’m introducing the first of many in my new segment B Movie Madness!!  Keep an eye out for future entries from the old (do I hear a Plan 9 review coming?) to the new (Megashark vs. Giant Octopus!).

I can’t remember any time I was more shocked and awed by a movie trailer than I was for Iron Sky‘s.  Many of you may have seen it during the Super Bowl or later online and like me many of you probably thought it was some sort of joke.  A joke it wasn’t however, and this 7.5 million dollar creation of Finnish, German and Australian studios has recently been released across Europe in all of it’s ridiculous glory.  While it’s American release date has not been set, look for it to come our way within the next several months or so.

An amusing-looking (and harmless) independent film called Iron Sky is hoping to make some noise at Comic-Con. The noise they’ve picked is that of goose-stepping — a publicity march of hot women dressed as pseudo-Nazis marching around the convention this Saturday. And you can hashtag your pics, too!

Let’s say you got Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation to vastly overpay for your upstart social networking site, thus giving you the option of cashing out and retiring early. You’d be probably be pretty proud of yourself, so much so that you’d scoff at all the poor suckers who still have to do real work for a living. And per BusinessInsider, that’s precisely what MySpace founder Tom Anderson did this week when he described himself on his Twitter feed as “the guy who sold myspace in 2005 for $580 million while you slave away hoping for a half-day off.” Anderson’s tirade was in response to criticism from one of his Twitter followers who mocked Anderson for not being “able to keep a social network alive.”
